Blind Call is a daily stock-chart game. It collects as little as it can get away with. This page says exactly what that is.

What's stored

• A random id in a cookie called bc_pid, so the game knows which scores are yours. It isn't linked to your name and can't be read by other sites.
• Your nickname, if you set one. It appears on the public leaderboard, so pick something you're happy for strangers to see.
• Your rounds: the chart you played, the calls you made, your score, and when you played.
• Your email address, only if you choose to sign in. Signing in is optional — the game works fully without it.

There are no passwords, because there's nothing to log in with except a link sent to your inbox. No payment details, no address, no date of birth, no contacts, no location.

Why

• The id and your rounds are what make the game work: scores, streaks and the leaderboard.
• Your email is used to send you a sign-in link, and nothing else. No marketing. You won't get a newsletter, because there isn't one.

How long it's kept

Rounds and nicknames are kept while the game runs, because the leaderboards are a record of play. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and can only be used once. Delete your account and everything above goes with it.

Deleting everything

There's a Delete my account button on the home page. It removes your email, your rounds and your leaderboard entries immediately and permanently. No email required, no waiting, no "are you sure you don't want to stay" screen. If you'd rather ask a human, email play@blindcall.app.

Who else sees it

• Hostinger hosts the site and the database, and handles the email the sign-in links are sent from.
• Google Fonts serves the two typefaces, which means Google sees your IP address when the page loads.
• Umami counts visits and game events — such as a round finished, a share, or a challenge link opened — so we can see what's working. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and doesn't identify you: the numbers are only ever seen as totals. The sign-in page isn't counted.
• Nobody else. Your data isn't sold, shared or used to build a profile of you.

Your rights

If you're in the UK or EU you can ask for a copy of what's held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email play@blindcall.app and you'll get a reply. You can also complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office if you think something's been handled badly.

Children

Blind Call isn't aimed at children under 13, and shouldn't be signed into by them.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
